Lemon Syrup Cordial
Make the most of the lemons in your garden with this great recipe for old fashioned lemonade.
SERVING SIZE:
1.5L of concentrate
INGREDIENTS:
750g (3 cups) sugar
1.2 litres boiling water
25g (2 Tbsp) Hansells Citric acid
Rind and juice of 3 lemons or 1 tsp Hansells Lemon Essence
INSTRUCTIONS:
Dissolve sugar and Hansells Citric acid in boiling water. Stir in Lemon juice and rind, or the essence. Makes 1.5 litres. Store in the fridge.
Dilute: – 1 part syrup + 3 parts water.
For a pleasant effervescent drink stir in approximately ½ tsp Hansells Baking Soda.
