FRUIT LOAF

Fantastic fruit loaf recipe

INGREDIENTS:

15 g (1 tablespoon) butter
125 ml (1/2 cup) boiling water
190 g (3/4 cup) sugar
1 teaspoon Hansells Baking Soda
1 egg, beaten
½ teaspoon Hansells Vanilla Essence
¼ teaspoon Hansells Brandy Essence
150 g (1 cup) sultanas, dates, fruit mixture or nuts
150 g (1 cup) flour
 

SERVING SUGGESTION:

Loaf is best left for at least a day before eating

INSTRUCTIONS:

Melt butter in the boiling waterStir in the sugar and Hansells Baking SodaTo the cooled mixture add the beaten egg, Hansells Vanilla and Brandy Essences and fruitMix in the flour and pour into a greased and lined loaf tinBake at 180°C (350°F) for 45 minutes
