CRUNCHY TOPPING

Delicious sprinkled over ice-cream or stewed fruit or sprinkled over cakes before baking to save icing.

INGREDIENTS:

1c brown sugar
100g butter
2c crushed cornflakes
1c rolled oats
2t Hansells Coconut Essence
 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Heat oven to 200�C (400�F)Heat butter and brown sugar in a saucepan stirring continually.When well mixed fold in cornflakes, rolled oats and coconut essence.Spread on a baking tray and bake 15-20 minutes.Remove from oven and stir occasionally while cooling.Store in an airtight jar.
