COOKIES & CREAM ICE CREAM
A tasty treat the whole family will love
SERVING SIZE:
Makes about 2 Litres
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon milk
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups cream
12 Wheelies, crushed
SERVING SUGGESTION:
Serve scoops of ice cream with halved strawberries and a drizzle of Aunt Betty's Sensational Indulgent Chocolate Sauce
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat 2 cups of milk in a saucepan until just boiling, then remove from heat.
Place the flour in a small bowl, add the additional 2 tablespoons of cold milk to make a paste.
Stir the paste into the hot milk, return to the heat and continue to stir until thickened.
Add the vanilla.
Pour into a bowl and cool.
Place in the deep freeze for about half an hour.
Beat the mixture until smooth.
Whip the cream and fold it into the milk mixture.
Add the Wheelies.
Place in a bowl or moud and refreeze.
