CARAMEL COOKIES

The golden syrup in this recipe gives these cookies a nice caramel flavour

INGREDIENTS:

125 g butter
125 g (1/2 cup) sugar
1 teaspoon Hansells Vanilla Essence
1 dessertspoon golden syrup
½ teaspoon Hansells Baking Soda
1 tablespoon hot milk
300 g (2 cups) flour
75 g (1/2 cup) sultanas
 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cream butter and sugarBeat in Hansells Vanilla Essence and golden syrupDissolve Hansells Baking Soda in the hot milk and add to the mix with the flour and sultanasRoll into balls, place on a greased baking tray and flatten slightly with a forkBake at 180°C (350°F) for 12 minutes or until golden brown
